Muddy but colourful Autumn walk up Scolty

Well it finally stopped raining and I persuaded Gail to take me for a walk up Scolty Hill this weekend. We both needed a dose of fresh air and a good leg stretch. I reminded her to take the camera too.

It goes against my nature, but for once I'll let the pictures do the talking.

Oh and I must thank all of you for supporting me in my campaign to join Gail on her trip to Nottingham to see HGD. I am delighted to report it was successful, and both Gail and I will be heading south on the train on Wednesday. The other good news is that HGY has a new, much faster computer, so I may even be able to keep in touch, if Gail has any time to help me.

  3. Bertie...what a great walk...or run. Just beautiful and we guess it's FULL of interesting scents. We just hope Gail didn't dump you in a cold stream to clean off your feet.

We're so happy you can go to Nottingham.

  11. hey Bertie,

Yay! I am so furry excited you will be joining Gail to see your HGD! I do hope you can communicate while there on their new and fast computer. I want to know how your HGD is doing, and how excited he and your HGM are to have your feisty, fun personality around. :->

The pictures are gorgeous! You always find the best, most pretty places to take your walks. What is the tower? You pose so nicely, Bertie. :->

The photo of the trees in their Fall color finest is wonderful.

  15. You get to go on the most amazing walks, Bertie -- such beautiful countryside! I'm glad your human is so willing to take you climbing on those hills, too; not all humans like to walk up and downhill as much as yours does. :)

And speaking of humans, I know HGY and HGD will be happy to see you in Nottingham. You be careful around HGD, okay? You're a very smart boy; I know you won't get underfoot or anything naughty like that!

  20. I am enthralled by the colours of your countryside. Gail, you certainly chose Bertie's colouring for your excursions - he definitely adds value to your pictures and beautiful posts.
I continue to keep your dad in my thoughts and prayers. I know it can't be easy - although you always keep the sun shining on your blog...thank you!
